Champion worker and material construction elevator ready for worker to enter on the 4th floor. Elevator car has gates at each end, one of which slides up and the other slides down, so worker can enter. Here the gates toward building are opened for worker to enter, and the gates away from buildings are closed until car is at bottom and workers leave and enter using the gates at back of car.
