Austin grader: The earliest motorized graders consisted of grader attachments mounted on modified crawler and industrial wheel tractors. This design was made obsolete by later machines that were built from the ground up as motor graders, rather than as modifications to or attachments for other types of machines. This machine consists of a McCormick-Deering 10-20 wheel tractor with an Austin Manufacturing grader attachment. It is an ancestor to the famous Austin-Western line of motor graders.
