Concrete construction, road/street construction: Worker hits curb steel curb side forms with hammer to vibrate concrete so that it flows briefly to consolidate in the forms. Forms are steel channels, especially manufactured to be footing/curb forms. They are supported in position and against outward pressure of concrete by round steel rods that are driven into the base material by a sledge hammer.
